I love my 88 GTU. I haven't seen another one in my town.
The previous owner actually came up to me in my 88 SE and told me he was selling an RX7.
As soon as I saw it was a GTU I was OMG gotta get it.
a day later I was driving it.

I got it for $2400 and it had 82k on the engine.

Although It's slow. I will be getting a TII by the end of summer.

My new slogan should be like pokemon"RX7'S GOTTA BUY EM ALL!...R..X..7!!!!"

here's a pic of when I just got it. Both m,y babies together. BUT I am selling my 88SE tomorrow!
I am breathing life to a new RX7 fan.

I'll be selling it in a couple months. So far it has 92K on it since I've owned it.

I have one and when ever I drive it threw the mud at my house only one wheel spins. But on pavement it will go sidways. Do LSD's wear out? Or are they just picky about what they drive on. And how do you test it to make sure it is an LSD, like can I jack up the back end of the car and turn one wheel, and shouldn't the other turn with it.

I am just wondering what did you guys pay for your 88 GTU, I paid $500 for a beat up body and carbon locked motor, then bought the other RX-7 that this guy had for another $500, and had to do an engine swap, and I still need to finish the body work.

How do you test to see if an LSD is still working, and not worn out. Also is there a serial number on the rearend that will prove that it is a LSD

a girl scout way is to jack the rear end up and see if the tires turn together or opposite...together is supposed to be lsd.. the real way is to jack the car up yet again and look for an lsd tag on the differential itself.
