Basically, the GTU was the base model (expect in 1988), the GXL was the "loaded" model and the Savanna is what they called it in Japan (actually it's New Savanna for the FC I believe).

Savanna was the sub brand name the FC was sold under in Japan (as well as the SA/FB, and the RX-4 and several others).

So it was the Mazda Savanna RX-7 in Japan.
