GTU alternator
I need a higher output alternator than what I've got. Mine is the 70 amp stock, and it tested about 50 amps. Either way, I need a 100amps, and could use anything more. I heard that the GTUs used higher output alternators--100amps?
Wouldn't this alternator fit in the same way my current alternator fits? Mine rex is 88, NA.
What other options do I have?
Rebuilding the alternator would be expen$ive, unless anyone could tell me how to do it.

Mazda rate the S4 alternator at 70A but don't say at what revs. The FSM says it should put out 55A or more at 2500-3000rpm, so the rating is probably at a higher rpm. How did you test yours? The S5 one is rated at 80A and I thought the FD was only 100A, but I might be wrong. But that one would be my suggestion.

To test it, I ripped it out of my car and dropped it on the counter at AutoZone. So many things those boys will do for free
So, will an FD alternator fit into my car? Will it have the same electrical attachment? What will I have to do?
