Could u provide a pic of where the ground and o2 ground go into the ecu like that brownish pic on the first page of this thread? i was a lil confused and only grounded one of the wires from that diagram. Any help will do

Just double check the wiring diagram for the ECU to find the grounds.
How necessary are all of these grounds?
I was having a problem with stalling on left turns. Upon the suggestion of someone in this forum, I added a new ground to the engine block using a battery lead from a parts store and it works great.

While your 7 is an engineering marvel, it is also an electrical embarassment, distinguished by miserably inadequate grounding and equally sloppy soldering.
IMHO, the 1st thing any new 7 owner should do is add the recommended ground wires and also have ALL their circuit boards inspected for cold solder points.

oh heh I though you ment my car was all that yada yada, I'll try and take some better pics tommorow
Okay Here is some more info on the pressure sensor and ECU grounds
On 86-88 cars the pressure sensor (boost sensor) ground is the brown wire with a black stripe
and on the 89-91 There is a mixed opinion most have a brown wire with a black strip, but according to Hailers some have a Black wire, your best bet is to testboth wires with a multimeter, if you don't have one then use the Brown Black wire it is most likly the one
and for the ecu ground it is all shown in this pic, thanks to scott's SAFC install page on his site

Don't stand so close to your target. Try to not have the camera closer than 4 feet, more if you're zooming. Use Photoshop to crop and enlarge what you're trying to show...
can you write a list of what you are suppose to ground.
its much easier haveing a list in front of you than to read reply after reply, i cant remember everything and its hard trying to figure out where each thing goes.
for example:
1.batt
2.ecu
after this i dont know where to go lol if you could help me out and others, that would be cool
also to make things easier because some rx7s are different than others. say for NAs and turbos and s4 and s5s. just so no one gets confused between the differnet models.
thanks

I just ran some grounds out under the hood (Somone said, 'the coils get their ground from the brackets' so guess where I grounded first?) and a few more to the engine, nothing serious (yet) and from just that alone my loping idle is all but gone (Still there a little if you rev it up and drop it) and the engine FEELS like its got slightly more pull, low and high. I'm definitely going to do the grounding on the ECU!
