grounding

with putting extra grounds under the hood, i read last night that it should be 4 - 8 gauge wire. is this correct? thats some big *** wire.....

From what I've read it's a minimum of 10-12. I would just stick with 8 though. I think that is the most common size used.

With up to a 100amp alt, you can use 8 gauge wire up to 36 inches.

All that said I have additional 8 awg wire between the motor and firewall, the ECU and firewall, and 4 awg battery ground (plus the stock wires).
