need help on wiring harness

86 base na motor - Word of advise label or take a photo of your wiring harness. I dont know what i m doing wrong but my wiring harness will not fit the 2ndary injectors and the water pump. There is a wire with the two fuel plugs and a water pump plug but is that pluging up wrong. Its easy wiring it up its just not fiting so i think i have my injector plugs wrong. Im seriously stumped so if someone could point me to a website that diagrams the harness or could just describe to me where what goes i would really appreciate it so much i only have 2 weeks left with my car. - Gabe

i assume you've putting a engine back in the car. is it a different engine from previous??? when u say not fitting, do u mean the injector plugs do not fit into the injectors???
give us a bit more of a description and i'll get back to you. i'm very familiar to the turbo engine harness which i say would be pretty similar to the na engine harness

Look here http://www.rhichome.bnl.gov/People/s...ke_removed.jpg it shows the PRIMARY PLUGS AND WATER THERMO PLUG. The water thermo plug is the green plug to the right. This pic does not show the secondaries because the intake is off. The plugs for the secondaries should break out from the main harness right behind the air pump and should route on the fender side of those four intake holes shown in the picture. Your post is just a touch confusing when you talk about the secondaries and the water pump(water thermo?) since the water thermo routes seperately from the secondaries. It routes with the primaries. Hope this will help some until someone posts a picture.

"since the water thermo routes seperately from the secondaries. It routes with the primaries." bingo... ive been plugging up the secs and water thermo together but it wont reach (not not fit). It just goes to show how much i need to learn ah well sorry for the confusion i did mean they didnt reach and the pic didnt help the color got to me. The description helped more. I still need a little more help as to how to lay the harness down like does it go under the fuel system or on top i cant remember and this is the 3rd engine and harness that i have pulled... Just that little piece of info has helped me big time. - Gabe

This is maybe of some help. Go to http://www.iluvmyrx7.com and either download the FREE FACTORY MANUAL in particular section 4A which deals in fuel. There are some drawings. I looked the other day to try and find you a good one but got discouraged(lazy). The ones under the dynamic chamber(primaries) route from the drivers side of the engine and I THINK route under the primary fuel rail. I can't believe I've forgotten. Just make sure that they, the injector plug wires, are not in a bind and will not be crushed by the dynamic chamber when it is put on. The secondaries route from the passenger side from where they breakout from the main harness. There should be a clip to hold the rear injector plugs harness just above the acv. Just can't wait until someone post a picture for you.
