green check valve

Question green check valve

ok, guys, bear with me. here, i stole the pic from another post......., but the green vacum valve thing......
how much pressure does it hold......, i broke mine on the left side..., the post was fragile and snapped off, i super glued it but did not put it on the car....., what is the purpose of this valve ????

Just do the Throttle Body Mod to remove those throttle plates.

Go to how toos. Great write up.

If you do that that checkvalve dosn't matter because you remove it.

Its a delay valve for the double throttle diaphram. Uses whats available in the manifold. Dampens inputs to the diaphram. Used during cold start.

See page 4A-59 of the online 88 factory manual, for a checkout of the delay valve. Just a note: Found out today that the turbo cars have a valve there also, but its just a check valve. Can't figure out why one has a delay valve and the other a check valve. Anybody know why????

thanx, i did the mod, the jb weld is drying now (cross fingers now!), i'll post a thread on how it works....
