Question greddy type S BOV problems??

before my exhaust leak (manifold to turbo) AND install of in cabin MBC i could get lots of sound coming form my BOV...now its not doing anything..im still running stock boost... should i be turning it towards soft to allow the spring to release easier?? i turned it the whole way and the damn screw popped out and i heard vaccum coming from it...i was able to put it back in and now its almost all the way hard and still no sound...my boost drops fast when i let off gas but i hear nothing...
is it broke???

yes i have the same bov and i tried everything to get mine to work all it needed was its own vacuum source and now it is loud and working but it will still take the right adjustment to get the sound you want if you tighten it too much you will have compresser surge and not enough will cause a boost leak so get it its own vac source and adjust it and it will be all good
that sound you hear "shuttering" is compresser surge so that means it is not working right try what i said earlier

Try taking the source from the nipple right under the BAC valve. Also have you taken the bov off to check if it is stuck?

Remove it, get a mityvac and apply vacuum to it, see if the diaphram leaks.

Well, hook a hose up and start sucking, see if it leaks.

I have the greddy type rs and i just put it on with a fmic and the bov is not working at all. I had it on hard and soft and inbetween. When I take it off and flip it upside down should I be able to push that valve by hand at all cuz it wont move if I try. I pulled the hose off to see if it had vacuum and it does. What the hell?????
