greddy turbo compression tube on a N/A?

can you use the greddy compression tube for a turbo car on the N/A throttle body to get rid of the harsh lip/bend? then you could make a much nicer bend and custom intake tube right? anyone know if it will bolt up?

What harsh bend? I doubt the Greddy tube fits though. The NA throttle body is "upside down" when compared to the TII.

the NA elbow fits on a turbo TB, i dont see why the greddy elbow wouldnt fit on but why? it would probably face the wrong way though.

It will face the wrong way, the throttle body on a turbo car (both 2nd and 3rd gen) is on the right side of the car and the elbow faces towards the front.

So if you swapped the elbow to the opposite side of the car, you would have to turn it 180 degrees to mount it, aka, pointing towards the firewall.

you guys don't listen very well....

it should fit fine. on the turbo II it's actually already facing the wrong way to pipe around the p/s so on an NA it'll actually point slightly forward.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, I would try to fit a stock turbo piece on an NA or vice versa first just to double check though. I don't have quick access to an NA or else I would do it for you.

EDIT: here is a pic of the thing he's talking about:

it looks like its going to angle right towards the firewall so you would have to add a sharp bend to make it work

holy crap here's a pic of one installed on a TII... (thanks 88rxn/a )

on a TII it's facing towards the firewall to get around stuff.... therefore on an NA it'll be flipped upside down so it'll be facing towards the front of the car.

that being said, corksport has some disclaimer about their's only working on S4s because apparently the tbs are different, so I would definitely double check the bolt holes are in the right place before you buy it.

i have a S4 N/A so the bolt pattern is the same on the throttle body. it is intresting to see that on the turbo models is bents towards the firewall doesn't make much sense to me that way. buttt when flipped it looked like it would be facing towards the front kinda like the stock one, which would work awesome. the other thing i'm wondering is what size of the opening going to the pipe? is it 3 inch?
