GReddy TD06-SH Turbo Kit question
Ok, if you can read(unlike so many i've met can't), the Subject is about the GReddy kit. I'm curious as to why I rarely ever see this kit on FC's. From what I know GReddy produces some pretty well built turbos...well, Mitsubishi Turbos. But is it because it is just that, a "kit"?

Let me qualify my sentence.
HKS sells a cast manifold that you can buy from the above RX-7 Store for under $300. This manifold will fit almost any T04 turbine footprint out there.
FC3S.Org used to sell a cheap T04 turbo for under $600.
CHEAPTURBO.Com sells a TS04 for under $800.
The TS04 is capable of producing 400hp to the wheels on a 13BT.
A good HKS WG is another $400.
We're right at the $1,500 level right now.
All we need is:
*oil feed line
*oil return line
*inlet pipe / filter
*downpipe / adapter
*vacuum hoses
*miscellaneous clamps
Last time I checked, the TD06 Trust / GReddy kit was selling easily over $2,000 - RX-7 Store has this kit priced over $2,500 right now.
So, do you think an oil feed line, oil return line, an inlet pipe and filter, and a downpipe adapter is worth another $1,000???

That would make sense, its just been bothering me. The funny part is, after I posted this. I went to the rx7store.com website to have a look around & as you said, they have pretty good deals(didn't say it, but it was implied) .
I was looking at the TO4B stage3 upgrade turbo. With the HKS cast-iron manifold as you'd mentioned. Not to sure on the WG though. I've heard the HKS SSQ BOV which sounded pretty nice IMO. I also like the number on them, as a matter of fact. I've liked damn near everything out of the HKS house for quite a while now.
My goal is for a streetable 300-385hp car. Sounds a tad bit drastic, but hey. I like what I like & I know other mods will be needed in order to have that happen. The ECU for one, which i've been curious which one would be best for my application?
I was thinking a Walboro fuel pump with some 720cc injectors & other things needed. Oh yeah, & from what I hear some people have had problems with the GReddy intercoolers, what would you all recommend?
Oh yeah, lastly. I hear good things about the Racing Beat exhaust, but are they really big enough to push out the back pressure of 300-385hp?

Lolo Jones!!
Greddy Turbo Kit
Thanks Ted. You answered everything I wanted to ask about putting together a turbo kit. I have a hybrid now but this sound more affordable than I thought and I can still use my RB downpipe with the adapter. The downpipe was my biggest concern. Thanks!!
