alot of the time when people install fmic's they put on a pipe and tighten it down immediatly.the best way imo to do it is connect all the pipes on the car while leaving them slighty loose so u can adjust everything around so it will clear.

iono,if thats ur prob. but its worth a try.....

you'll need to cut some of the pipe off. takes only a few minutes with a hack saw.

that was my only qualm with the greddy kit, you can't position it where it is clear of the brake master, you can cut it but then you should flare it also so the hose doesn't pop off.

I never understood why Greddy decided to aim the throttle elbow DIRECTLY at the master cylinder... Terrible R&D in my opinion... How hard would it be to make the damn thing come towards the ******* front of the car?!

WTF GREDDY?!

it barely scrapes by the filler neck, they couldn't position it any further forward without doing serious modifications to the filler.

I still think that GReddy could've put a little more effort into it. Just my opinion though.

I think the kit was designed for a RHD car.

The install manual on my kit always showed a RHD car, so then the Master Cylinder would be on the other side. Thus not causing a clearance issue with the MC.

never had the GReddy kt personally...

But I would think for the money they want for the kit it shouldn't have to be cut at all at the very least...

Cut pipe # 5 at the TB eh?

I left all the pipes loose... that's how i got the battery to fit in there with the FMIC

Wasn't this Greddy kit designed for the Jspec cars, seems like it. The jspec cars have all the brake stuff on the other side..

The greddy kit was designed for RHD so the MC is on the other side. It was also meant to fit inbetween PS so that's why it's angled the way it is.

I cut pipe #5 about 2" on the side it connects to the TB adapter side

Can someone post a pic of the exact spot where the pipe passes under the battery and between the radiator/ side wall of engine bay. I'd like to see if and where there any cutting needs to be done.

Yeah, go figure with GReddy. I cut exactly 2.5" from the pipe to clear the master cylinder. Not only It clears It but It gives the pipes a smoother transition. Looks better too. Only bad thing to this mod Is that I have to remove this pipe to replace the oil filter, wheras before I wouldn't have had to.
