when you take the engine apart, depending on the damage, the only thing you really need to buy are the soft seals and apex seals, many people reuse the side seals if they are in good condition.

No need to buy new rotors unless it looks like this

The Canadian forum lists a number of shops. No idea which ones build engines or what the pricing is.

yes... thats exactly my point. No matter what i do im still spending the same amount of money, so i may as well save myself the time of rebuilding the engine myself and just buy the shipped one.

black knight, You are correct that those are really the only things you have to replace, but you should always replace all seals/gaskets when rebuilding anything. especially since i know this will be the first time in 150k this engine has been rebuilt.
