Unhappy Gotta ask again!!!

I need to replace my front two converters, however, I would like to increase my horse power a little...should I buy used stock converters...or search for a different typy of converter?

What are my choices and who sells a decent converter....I don't have a lot of money?

do you have emissions? if yes, get used....if not, headers....or get headers even if you have emissions...just keep the main cat...
and rb has pretty good headers...or you can fab your own at a muf shop..

you should get the RB streetable header. it replaces the precats and stock exhaust manifold and hooks up to the main cat. I beleive its $187.00???

If you have to meet emissons, then this is a good choice: http://www.rx7.com/cgi-local/2catalog.cgi?cat=4

I dont think that the RB header bolts directly to main cat, but Im not 100% sure. Yea I had that Bonez Superflo system, it was very good quality. I opted to get a header for a little more HP, and weld some extention flanges on my Bonez cat. If your on a budget get some stock ones, but if you can swing it get that Bonez Superflo thing, or a header and a high-flow cat, and get a shop to weld em up for you.

Stock cats are budget? Used, yes, but at $1000 EACH new, they are hardly "budget".

Yes I understand that, I was saying a used set........ i dont think anyone would actually pay that much for a cat.....thats just rediculous. When I first bought my car it needed a main cat, so i thought maybe a stock one would be cheap. Turns out major parts stored didnt carry them ( Didnt know alot about rotarys and the intense exhaust pulses and heat back then), so I called up the dealer. I think If I remember right the price was $1150 just for the 1!!! main cat....
