i just got a new oil press guage from APC.it has connections for dash light circuit, sender, engine ground, and ignition switch. where can i ground the direct engine ground wire too?can i just ground it?>or does it have to be a special place. and the ignition switch wire, dont i run that to 12v switched(key)power?

My wire up went like this:
-12V Power Source Line (Red) - tapped Into cigarette Lighter positive.
-Ignition Line (Orange) - Same as above.
-Parking Light Source (White) - Cigarette Lighter Light bulb (positive).
-Ground Line (Black) Either the Cigarette Lighter or It's Bulb. (negative). I choose the former.
The good thing Is you are able to dim It In sync to the stock Interior lighting with this wire up. I have all the excess routed back Into the cabin for a neat appearance. Refer to your Instructions to see the coincision, If any.

if you grounded it to the engine near the sensor it will have a slightly better reading but I doubt you'd notice.
just make sure you have a good ground from the engine to the car. I added one from the intake manifold to the firewall.

As for the engine ground, you can ground anywhere on the engine but make sure it's a clean ground (sand off the area).

If that's the color gauge, "glow something". I **think** that's for the module (separately sold I think). Does it have a connector at the end? If so, that should be it.
The oil pressure gauge is simple. Ground, power 12V switched, sender and dash light (dimmer).
