Got my s5 j-spec motor.
I got a s5 J-spec from a forum member on here. I've had it for about a week and finally got time to take a look at it. Did the "chug" test and front rotor sounds really good, switch over to rear rotor and there is nothing. So I took of the turbo and manifold, looked inside with a flashlight, and the rear rotor has NO corner seals, all of them are blown and the rotor looks pretty trashed. So it looks like a rebuild! I have never done a rebuild before, so this will be a first, but I am gonna do it myself, with the Atkins video. Any advice or suggestions before I get started? oh yea, where can I get streetporting templates?

Nope, got the entire longblock, manifolds, turbos, everything so its still a good deal even if it is blown, just gotta rebuild it now, never done it before so we'll see how it goes. lol

yea, unless you need rotor housings and side plates, and a new rotor. Thats $1600 bucks if you buy new.
Rotor housings=500 ea
Irons are about $360 ea
rotor = $500
Used could be as low as $150 for the 3-4 pieces

Just get a good condition used one and it should be fine. Chances are that a local rotary shop will have a good stock of used Housing, Irons, and Rotors so that is a good place to start if you need to.
