I am not a ricer. I am black and love everything JDM if I could I would buy all my parts to come for my car from Japanese companies, but I can't. But I will never ever ruin a nice car by being a cheap ***.

Yeah, I got lucky on that one. 18 y.o. with a speeding ticket and a limited edition turbo car...... But fortunately State Farm only has policies for RX-7s in general.

I didn't say comprehensive insurance, I said LIABILITY. I realize if you drive like a jackass and get tickets your rate will increase, that is common sense. However, your liability rate does not ever change unless you get tickets, or are involved in accidents, etc. At least to my knowledge. I was also told this by my insurance agent. (Allstate)
I pay $90 LIABILITY coverage on my TII, and paid the same on my N/A, as well as a 00 cavalier z24, a 00 Eclipse GT, and a slew of other vehicles. Call Allstate and ask. My agent told me my Liability rate would NEVER increase as long as I didn't get into any accidents, DUI's, tickets, etc.
However, the drawback is that liabiity doesn't cover your car's ***. So if you wreck it, your paying to fix it.

Despite never having caused an accident, I pay above-average insurance rates because there is statistical evidence that drivers of sports cars make more claims than drivers of more mundane vehicles. Every single person on this forum suffers the same "discrimination". I don't like particularly this, since I'm effectively paying the idiocy for others, but I don't get all upset about it and start throwing around emotive and inaccurate accusations.
My insurance company doesn't care if it's turbo or not, all comes up the same.
Extreme coilovers can drop the car 2" but you wouldn't wanna drive the car with the front lowered 2", it wouldn't work. The rear can go with a 2" drop and be fine as long as you even the front out with it so it doesn't look retarded.
What do you mean by best exhaust? Best performance? If you're talking looks well then that's completely up to you.

The insurance company then puts you on an insurance blacklist, so no other insurance company will insure you ever again! Think I'm being over-dramatic? I'm not, this happens all the time. You may want to reconsider getting tricky with insurance companies. You need them a lot more than they need you.

redrx7... maybe you should worry about reliability issues/rebuilding with your 200 dollar car rather than ricey springs and a loud exhaust. i got my 7 for free with a blown coolant seal and i've been lucky just putting under 2k into it rebuilding it.
Okay, sorry about being so snippy, it wasn't really called for. I find it hard to believe you can for example spend several times the car's value on mods and the insurance company doesn't care. Anything that increases the car's chance of getting stolen or broken into is looked on fairly dimly by insurance companies, and they will want to protect themselves from that extra risk you've introduced. Most companies here let you get away with a few things, but if you make a claim for anything that may have been caused or affected by undeclared mods you can end up uninsured, or at the very least with a declined claim on your insurance recored, another thing that can follow you around for years.
But that isn't what's important. My point from the beginning is that this guy has admitted to (even bragged about) deliberately lying to his insurance company. Even if telling them it's turbo'd would've had no effect on the policy, telling them it's not turbo'd is acting fraudulently. If you tell them one lie and they find out, they have every reason to assume you've probably told them others. In my experience people who do that usually have little understanding of the huge risk they're taking. Getting a policy cancelled under those circumstances can affect your ability to get any insurance for many, many years afterwards.

I have to accept that people under 25 and new yorkers in general get into more accidents and tend to drive more aggressively than others even if neither one applies to me. Just put yourself in their position for a second.

As far as you paying $8000 a year, wtf is wrong with your driving record or your families? Because that is impossible it seems like unless something else is really wrong. I bought my FC when I was 18 with 3 tickets and an accident on my record with full coverage and it was about $2500 a year.
Come April all my tickets and accident are off my record completely, and after taking a Law class with a teacher that loved (sarcasm) insurance companies taught us how to rework our policies and be smarter about it. I will be paying under $1000 a year for my FC come April.
Something really doesn't seem right with your plan, at all. Even if you do live in New York, but I still think LA would be worse.
I have been looking on www.CorkSport.com and I like their Power Series Exhaust.
Prices
CorkSport Power Series Cat Back Exhaust (Titanium) $489
I also plan on getting a CorkSport Downpipe, Mid-Pipe and Silencer if I get the CorkSport.
Downpipe is $169 80mm
Mid-Pipe is $79 80mm
and Silencer $23.
