Got beaten by an Audi
Hey guys, I just wanted to share my experience today. Me and my friend who owns a stock '00 Audi A4 (turbo) had fun tonight and decided to drag on a straightaway about a half mile long. I had a good launch at 4K RPM and did not spin while he stayed in the line for a few seconds because he was spinning and soon took off but slowly. In short words, I took off ahead of him (it must be the turbo lag or something). I was on the lead 'til 2nd gear and I saw him passing by me and taking off to about a 2 car length. I hit the redline and punch it to the 3rd and he just kept on going. I was on the 4th gear when I stopped at about 1/4 mile because I didn't want to be smoked so very badly. Oh well, after the race, I told him that we try it again after I fix my leaking y-pipe and dangling muffler.
So, should I feel bad about this guys or are those Audis really that fast?
Anyway, I'm racing him again in Sacramento raceway with my Z3 to get my confidence back. But I think a TII can take him easily.

What kind of car do you drive? If it's a T2, then you definately have something wrong... these are not fast cars! Come to think of it, if you have an N/A you probably have something wrong too.

no, you shouldnt feel bad, a turbocharged A4 makes 170hp, and depending if he has the A4 or the A4 Avant, he also has all wheel drive, but even with your mods he still has more power, especially when he starts to pull in the upper rpm range because of the turbo

are you sure it wasnt the S4? twin turbo all wheel drive?? My friend has a 2k audi s4, he put down a 14.0 stock at the track, All he has done know is an ecu upgrade and he ran deep into the 13's..... My tII or ANY n/a would never hang with the s4....the a4 on the other hand shouldnt' be that fast....
the s4 and s8 are nothing to mess with, there pretty bad ***.
