Arrow Good way to clean up scuff marks off tail lights?

I've read various threads on modifying the lights but I have not been able to find a thread that discusses ways of restoring the tail lights to a smooth new look.

Any pointers as to how I can freshen them up?

Awesome classic. We did touch on that before. I bought new weatherstripping for the tails. It retailed for $35 a side!!! I figured I'd clean the tails up before I apply my overpriced seals on.

Do you have a link to the plastic cleaner?

I think Meguiar's make a plastic cleaner and polisher (forgot what number). Most Kragen's, Pep Boys, or Autozone should carry them. They are for MINOR scratches though...

Depends on how deep the scratches are, Start using Mequire's by hand, then go to a buffer, if that doesn't work, then step it up. This company offers alot for restoration check them out.

I dnt know if you guys ever tried this.. but Brasso works very well for taking off scuffs and stuff from headlights and tail lights as it pretty much eats a real thin layer off the surface. If you ever have hazy headlights.. put some brasso on a cloth and wipe it down for a few minutes.. itll be as clear as nothin is even there..
