Going Turbo from N/a
Before you tell me its somewhere else just read.
On a turbo engine swap in a n/a body, leaving the n/a tranny, drive shaft, etc.
I have seen many people talk about counter weights, but I can never tell who knows what there talking about and who doesn't . From some advice I would put a n/a flywheel on my turbo s5 and n/a clutch and flywheel. And if the flywheel is after market I have to buy either auto tranny counter weight since separate, or an after market one. If I just want a stock flywheel the stock manual flywheel has counter weight in it? Okay is this right?
( I have searched and read other post on this topic)

you can use the stock S5 n/a flywheel to do the conversion. You cannot use the stock S4 flywheel though. Aftermarket you would need the corresponding automatic flywheel for the engine. Meaning S4 stays with S4 only and S5 with S5 only

Aftermarket flywheels require the auto-tranny flywheel counterweight. Stock manual-tranny flywheels have the counterweight incorporated into their design. Most aftermarket flywheel counterweights are from Mazda directly. If you plan on using an NA transmission for a Turbo engine, I would highly recommend ugrading the clutch.

Your s5 na flywheel and na clutch (upgrade like mentioned above) go on the s5 t2 engineAnd if the flywheel is after market I have to buy either auto tranny counter weight since separate, or an after market one.yes s5 auto counter weight or s5 act..whatever If I just want a stock flywheel the stock manual flywheel has counter weight in it? Yes, that is correct, your stock na s5 flywheel has the counterweight built in for your s5 t2 engine Okay is this right?

Okay It's a n/a standard Tranny. I have to upgrade clutch to prevent slippage, yes. And yes I know not to mix and match s4 and s5 do to the diff weights of rotors, and such. So... If I use n/a aftermarket flywheel I can snag a automatic counter weight since not built in, for the manual tranny. Or I need to buy a Mazda after market counter weight.
