Going FMIC questions?

I have a question more like my friend. LOL ok well We are going 3" FMIC and are curious is we can use the stock throttle body elbow. Like cut it or somethigna and weld on the piping somehow, how hard would it be? Or do we have to use a greddy elbow or something similar to it?

im pretty sure you could just cut and weld it.. but not sure how good it would look, i guess it depends on the weld job.. i got the greddy elbow and i love the way it looks.. just my opinion.

well, its possible, but since its aluminum, youll have to use a tig-welder, and an aluminum pipe.. but its very possible w/ minor fab skills

I've done this a few times. It's an easy mod if you have access to the equipment (and the skills) needed to weld aluminum. Just get a little bit of 3" aluminum tube about 4" long, cut the stock throttle body elbow to make the tube fit, then weld.

umm plastic doesn't sound too sturdy. LOL Someone post pics of how to do this, using the stock elbow and then cut/weld.

A guy from Georgia came up to Garfinkles to tune, he had it on a Bridgeported FC with a pretty big turbo, water injection, the works. He had no problems running 350hp+ with it.

I'd wager its pretty stout. (you ever handle one?)

I don't see why you need pictures. Hold the elbow in your hand and look at it. Stare hard. Now imagine a short bit of 3" tubing in the other hand. Bring your hands together until the tubing is positioned where you want it. Now go buy some tubing, cut the thing and make it happen...If you need pictures for such a simple thing, you should consider not fabricating your own parts.
