glowing cats, are they clogged?

i started it earlier today and it ran fine..about 2 hours later i go and start it and it wouldnt rev over 3700-4400 rpm it would hesitate and eventually go higher but slowly. then theres smoke coming thru my shift so i took the boot off (its ripped and fucked up) and i see a red glow..HOLY **** my converters and presilences are glowing ****** red! clogged perhaps? and why do they run fuel lines right next to them? lmao

nice, you are from lancaster, i am originally from York/Dallastown...anyways, glowing cats usually indicate you are running rich...as far as i know...someone else chime in?

I would say yes they are clogged and not working. Take it off, and get it replaced or gut it out. I had the same thing happen to my car when I first got it.

If they're stock cats with 169K miles on them. Get a new cat...........

If the cat is fairly new, check your timing.
