glass sunroof not sealing

hey guys

i was really excited to get my glass sunroof (pacific) i bought from the US..
until now!

the seal on it looked like it had been resealed (a dodgey piece was stuck to the front which attempted to cover up a space between the seal ends), and was pretty messy.. so i decided to rip it off and reseal it. i clean it up pretty spotless
i put the seal back on, plonked it on my car but it didnt seal
there were big gaps around the radius corners
i measured all the dimensions, and it appears that the glass sunroof is about 1mm smaller all round than the opening (1.5mm around radius corners)

does anyone know where i can find a seal to replace it??
ive tried contacting people locally but they all um and err about it

please help!

heres some pics:

I recently switched my metal sunroof for a carbon fiber unit which also didn't fit perfect. I was able to reuse my old seal as it was in really good shape, but I think the seal may have shrunk slightly due to its age as there are maybe 1.5mm gaps in the back corners. Since I never drive my car in the rain, I don't think that the gaps will bother me much. But I had to use some seal adheasive to get the seal to stick to the panel, as it just fell off without the glue. If you need to get a new sunroof panel seal, I'd imagine you could get one at your local Mazda dealership. Otherwise you could get one from Mazdatrix, but I'd think shipping to Australia would be a little pricey.

I have the same problem on mine. The corner gap on the pacific sunroof is bad enough for water to leak into the car in heavy rain. There's a thread in the archive about finding a replacement, but I couldn't actually find one. I think the problem is that the weatherstripping flattens out due to age. I just thought of filling the gap with something flixible like plastic tubing. Something that would snake all the way around but still improve the seal. Or if you have another solution, could you share if it works? I'd appreciate it.

There used to be something in the archive about new pacific glass sunroof seals! I believe the new seal is from some mitsubishi SUV from the 90's. I don't remember all the details, but search it out.

Edit: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...+sunroof+seals

There is the link^ Not a mitsubishi, an Isuzu rodeo. My bad.

i will give you some $$ for helping me
it would require you to buy (ill fund you) the seal, get it sent to your place, and you send it off to me (prefably via air)
