Glass moonroof - We will soon see..

This might just fit a 2nd gen.

When I finally get to see the RX-8, I will have a tape measure with me.

The chances are pretty slim, but it's a good idea! The more I look at the RX8's the more they grow on me.

The mechanism looks the same, including the pop-up wind deflector.

I hope the failure rate isn't the same as it was on the 2nd gen's! Yeah, I can only IMAGINE the availability of them!

My dream:
Mazda sells 80000 RX-8's.
A front clip with a moonroof shows up in a local salvage yard.
I get the Renesis w/6-speed tranny & moonroof for $3000.

(What a kick - watching the tach wind off the scale!)

This is kind of off topic, but there is an RX8 in X-MEN 2. They walk by Austin Martin, and all sorts of other goodies, and hop into the RX8. I thought that was pretty sweet! Oh and great movie by the way...........

The trick is the dome shape. If you mount a flat panel, it will look strange and create a lot of negative pressure stress.
