glass the moon roof

Has anyone replaced their moon roof with glass?
Was it difficult?
Who did the glass?
Any tips?

They are cool.

The company that used to make them as a dealer option for mazda is called Saratoga Tops, they're located somewhere in New York I believe. I don't know if they still make and/or have tops for the FCs anymore, but it's worth a shot.

Pacific Glass made one as well.

Both are hard to find, I bought mine for an outrageous price on E-bay.

I plan on installing the glass in a fixed position and removing the 30+ Lbs of sunroof mechanism. I will install some bracing between the door sills (like strut tower bars) for extra rigidity.

I asked a local glass company about making one prior to my purchase of the Pacific Glass unit. They said slumping tempered glass was a pain, ~ $400-500 to make just the glass one off.

Now, if you know someone in the glass industry...
