getting rid of orange on marker light

hey so i heard that there's a way you can cheaply get rid of the orange of the marker light. Something about once you have it off, heat up the inside to just melt it off cuz all it is is just an orange coated film on a clear plastic, so by doing that i should be able to make the light clear? can somebody help me out and give me details on how to correctly do this?

It's not, it's orange plastic.

either custom fabricate your own clear one's, or use some VHT niteshade and do them black like me, lol.

note: contrast is key. Don't do clear lenses on a white car. Black car though, would be a different story.

It's honestly kind of hard to come by... There's a local auto-parts/sporting goods store that always has it in stock. I've never seen it anywhere else. Try 'googling' it and see if you can find any retailers, it's good stuff.

If you can't find it, I'd suggest going to a hobby shop and see if they have any special tint spray (for RC cars and stuff).
