Last week i decided to calculate how much MPG do i get since i realized ive been heading for tha gas station a lot....2day my tank is nearly gone and ive ran abour 110 miles only!!!!

I read about shifting b4 3k rpm, but ive been doing that.I think my car is running really rich, i hear back fire/ after burn when i hold it at 3.5k or 4k rpm and lift.....
What could my problem be??
I just changed oil and spark plug??
Could it be the fuel injectors?

Please help me solve my problem b4 i turn poor

Hey, check out the other "gas mileage" thread we had going for 5 pages, it'll give you some good ideas...

Funny how these threads pop up when gas prices go up, lol...

 

did u change the fuel filter too?, check the fuel lines for leaks, some people on here have noticed that their gas was spewing out of there fuel lines underneath

 

I was making HORRIBLE gas mileage as well. Like in the 9mpg. I tried about everything. I had also been having a problem with power in the upper rpm's. It turns out that my clutch was slipping due to the last owner not resurfacing the flywheel.

 

Does anyone search anymore?
