Question General Maintenence

I recently sold my 1991 MR2, and after 4 months of withdrawals have decided I simply cannot drive a Jeep Cherokee any longer. I am researching some different early '90s Japanese sports cars to see what best fits my budget and hesitated to look at RX-7's because of the rotary issues. I just wanted to ask you knowledgeable board members what kind of issues you've had with your cars and some things to watch out for when looking at RX-7's. How much money it costs to repair things like Rotor seals or other major problems. The only other car I have deeply researched is the 300zx which I am finding to have a lot of neglect and electrical problems. Thank you so much!

anything that old will have electrical problems! the rx7 is a sports car that you either love or hate! If you want something that is reliable get either an n/a (non turbo) rx7 or get a turbo that has just gotten a new engine. I believe an rx7 requires more attention than other cars like you have to be religious with maintanance. But like any car you treat it right it will treat you right! Read the forum and do lots of searches on anything and its probably already been asked! Oh yeah and one more thing don't get intimidated by all the problems that you see rx7's having on this site, people come here when they have problems not when everything is working good.
