Download and take a look at the FSM, it's pretty simple just slow going in a driveway.

Always make sure you can get the fill (higher) plug out first, then drain (lower).

Once you drain it is difficult to refill, use synth fluid, comes in squeezable quarts.

You can also use a hose filling from above the engine bay or a hand pump.

Can even use a turkey baster, fill until the it starts coming out of the overflow.

On my 300zx I filled by removing the shift since the fill plug would not budge, not sure if this is possible on a RX-7.

This task is not difficult. Remove the side plug (this is the fill plug). Remove the bottom drain plug and let all the old oil drain out. Replace the bottom drain plug and fill to the bottom of the fill hole. Use a good synthetic 70-90 like Redline.

Using a transmission oil sucker/filler (I don't know what the thing is called) will make the job much easier. You will play hell trying to manually pour oil sideways into the filler hole. If all else fails read the factory service manual or a Haynes manual.

I just used an oil funnell and some 3/8ths clear tubing from the hardware store.
Pretty much a beer bong:

I removed the side plug on the tranny and opened the hood of my car. I fed the tubing through the oil filter side of the engine bay to under the car and put the end of the tubing into the fill plug. I used about 2 1/2 bottles of Redline MT-90, untill the fluid was coming out of the side fill plug.
