Gauging intrest, TB elbow group buy.

Alright, the company I work for has a sister company called http://www.professional-products.com/

They make tons of manifolds, harmonic dampers and other stuff for boinger engines.
Well the Lead engineer has an office next to me. So I was takling to him about casting a elbow for a tb for a 13bt. He said it could be done. I'm shooting for a price of $50 which is half the price of the greddy counter part, it will be similar to the greddy elbow and will work with the greddy IC kit or for a custom Front mount application.

I'm trying to see if how many people would be intrested in buying one to decide wether it would be worth doing.

Mods I aplogize if this is in the wrong section, I figured it would get the most reponse here. So if it needs to be moved, could you please keep it here for a week before it is moved.

How many units are we talking about here on the intial run?
I doubt you can get it for that cheap unless...
1) the stuff was stolen
2) you're planning on making over 1,000 of them???

I would want a solid quote before promising people you can do it for $50.
Unless you're planning on not making a cent off this GB?

RETed: I'm not promissing anything. I'm just wondering if it would be worth doing. $50 an estemate he gave me. we didn't go into detail about how many would be made in the intial run. I wanted to see about how many people would be intrested and if it would be worth taking it to more detail and possible production of it. I'm going to give him a rough estimate on how many I could get sold in a gb, plus what ever I buy to put on ebay and wether the company would want to add it to there product catalog. There is alot of detail still to be discussed, but I first wanted to see if there would be any people intrested before I go wasting his time.

Thanks for the replys so far.

Got an EST for these to be done? $50 is a great price. I'm getting ready to do an FMIC kit, but with a Starion core as I'm not running much boost. I'd still pick one of these up for another I/C down the road.

Count me in.

Not to be rude, but my personal experience with the starion cores is that they look nice and big, but honestly are no good.

a stock T2 IC ( mounted in front ) will cool the charge better than the starion core.
2 cents.

and at $ 50 you can sell quite a few

Hey, no problem.
It's just I'm surprised you can get them for such a great price.
I've worked with hIGGI when he developed his TB adapter, and I got to see what the actual costs were involved.

Hell, if this is for real and you need more volume, I can promise I'll take *10* of them minimum, if they are good quality!

Quality will be good, as with all our products. We have a big production plant in china were they will be made.

I will talk to him in more detail sometime next week and will update this thread with any news.
