Gauging Interest: 87 TII with RE swap and Big Turbo

My brother (FC Alex on this board), is thinking about selling his on-going project car. The car is a gem, it's beautiful inside and out. He is the second owner, originally the car was bought from Jap Trix in West Palm. The mods on the car are as follow:

13B-RE motor, rebuild with Rotary Aviation Apex seals (motor has about 3k miles)
Series 5 5spd tranny
Garrett GT-40 turbo
HKS exhaust manifold
HKS 50 mm wastegate
Custom 4 inch turbo back exhaust (comes out of one side only, not dual)
Interior is in awesome shape, no tears on seats, no stains.
NPR front munt intercooler
Greddy BOV
Greddy Profec B boost controller (the original profec B)
HKS turbo timer
The car has a good stereo with a sub and amp.
It has 17x9 wheels up front with 235/40 tires, and 17x10 wheels in rear with 275/35 tires.
It has Tokico blues struts and H&R Springs, I believe those are the springs that it has.
Series 5 tail lights
Series 5 front lip
Python Alarm
Autometer Shift light
Autometer Boost Gague
Autometer Oil pressure Gauge
Greddy EGT gauge

I'm sure I'm leaving out some stuff. The car is awesome to drive, but my brother has to give it up due to the fact that he drives to school 30 miles each way every day and he can't afford two cars right now. The only thing that the car really needs is a stand alone computer. Car run great, just can't boost too much (running on a TII computer). To be honest with you the car has been babied since the swap. It has never seen boost higher then 8 psi, and that has been very rare at that. It also just got new brakes and front tires. My question is.... How much do you think this car is worth? He wants to get atleast $8,000 for, but as you can see he has poured a lot more into then that. I'll get pics up as soon as I get home.

To be quite honest... I highly doublt he'll get 8K out of it... problem is that no one is really going to spend that kind of money on a second gen.... people that have that kind of money are trying to eek out a bit more for a third gen...

He'd be better off putting some stock parts on the car, selling the upgrades on e-bay and the car at a lower price...

How the hell did he get 17X9's on the front???????

He'd be lucky to get 5-6K for the car as is.

I speak from experience... I'll never sell the way it sits cause I'f take a bath on the upgrades Ive done (paid 3 grand for the car, have dumped about 5 grand into it since...)

He's using a stock Turbo II computer. Car runs fine with it, just can't full throttle it or boost it much or you'd risk blowing it up.

I'd love to see some pixs of the car and the RE swap, big turbo, and front mount intercooler.
Can't believe with all the mods, he didn't upgrade the EFI control to standalone.

Standalone was next on the list. He has ran out of money. The car has been built slowly, piece by piece.

Here are some pics. I'll have to snap some under the hood pics when I get the chance.

I'm telling you, his car is awesome. I wish I could buy it, but I can't afford two 7's.

Like I said, he doesn't drive it much, let alone boost on it. He figured he'd keep the car long enough to save up the rest. Since then he started college (kid wants to be an attourney) and my dad is sick and tired of seeing the car sit on the driveway.

he'll make enough as an attourney for 10 of those fc's Well if I had the 8k I'd buy it in a heart beat! Put it in the forsale section and on ebay. Even though when people look for fc's they look for the cheapest price possible. Good luck selling it.
