okay i suck with electronic's(88 gtu)! the only gauge that works is the speedometer. i have an extra gauge cluster out of my 86 gxl. if i put in the gauge cluster from my old car would all the gauges work again? thanks

 

The speedo works b/c it's a mechanical gear. You definitely have an electronic problem. I dont know that much about electronics, but I'd definitely reccomend checking all your fuses. I'm pretty sure that the tach. runs off one of your coils, so make sure that's functioning correctly as well.

 

Probably a blown meter fuse. The fuses and locations are listed in the FAQ for FC sticky thread at the top of this section
