gauge cluster not working

so after swapping everything from one shell into another, i noticed my gauge cluster wasn't working when i fired up the car...the lights work, but none of the gauges are reading...i cleaned up the connector to the cluster, checked fuses, not sure what else to do

Most common is the reverse light switch on the tranny. It gets its power from the meter fuse, and when people drop the tranny for any reason and forget to unplug the wires, they get ripped off and short, blowing the meter fuse
