out of no where all of a sudden, i was driving down M1 at 40mph, 4th gear at 4.5k rpm and my car starts bogging down! then everytime i gass afterwards, it only slows down!

it seems to be happening on all the gears too!

..please help

 

Can you supply us more info on your car like, model, mileage, turbo, non turbo, street ported ect..

 

1990 gxl engine completly stock 92k miles

 

last time you had alternator serviced? when you gas it whats the voltage reading?

 

I would start with basic like Change your spark plugs, check your spark plug wires and see one may have detach itself, check AFM if its connected correctly, check connections on Battery and plug on alternator, And last but not least do a compression check. Also does the car smoke allot?

 

my voltage reading was normal, and the alternater is finne

 

Sounds like one of the cats broke apart and clogged up further down stream.

 

check line that comes off cat.make sure your aux ports are workin freely. 10mm
