Gasmilage without TPS
I don't post much here, but I have a question for you guys--already did the search.
I have an s4 TII.
How bad will my gas milage be if I disconnect my TPS?

Yes, you can run without the TPS (Just ask Kevin Landers (hypntyz7)) However, some car's hate the idea of it and run like ****, others run just fine without it. Best bet is to leave it on, no real advantage to taking it off.

Just to clarify, this would only be temporary. My current TPS is bad; and I am ordering a new one. Before the new TPS gets here, I will try to run without one.

Causes hesitations/bucking/etc symptoms if it's more than 6.5K or 7K (can't remember which?) And if the ECU see's the TPS is malfunctioning (infinite) It'll give it a fixed adjustment of 20% open.

I have no idea who Landers is, but whenever I have forgotten to plug a TPS back in (yes, I do that on a regular basis after adjusting them) the car runs like absolute crap, sputtering and backfiring above 2500 when warm...Runs alright cold though...Maybe Canadian cars are different? Doubt it though.

As long as the TPS gives me the fixed adjustment, I should be okay. It seems that some cars are different.

The cars that ran like crap were all '86-'88s, mostly NA. I don't work much on the '89+ cars, so I have not really forgot to plug the TPS back in on one...Probably does depend on the rest of the car though...If the EFI system is in perfect shape, removing the TPS will cause major issues. If there are problems (ie. vacuum leaks, dripping injectors) then the effects might not be noticable.

Try to back it all the way out, I tricked one of mine that way. I wouldn't run it that way for a long time though I guess the other option is to take it off but leave it plugged in so it registers WOT all the time. I know it sucks new ones are like 170 bucks from Mazda and be careful if you buy a used one I went through four used ones before I got a good one.
