Gas spits out of my exhaust

The car is an 87 T2. It has an 88 ECU and I have no idea what imp injectors it has or what wiring harness. I am guessing the stock 87's. The cars mods: full exhaust, FCD, 255 FP, and HKS F-Con. New fuel filter, injectors, wires, and air filter. It gets 7-8 mpg no matter what. Seems to be worse if driven on the freeway. The car ran fine like this for a while and pulled real hard. Then one day the exhaust started to sound very quiet and the blow off valve got really loud. The car reaks of gas at idle and now at 10psi of boost it just doesn't feel like 10 psi of boost. With F-Con set on stock it still gets the same amount of gas milage.

Thanks to the new black streaks on my driveway I noticed someting was wrong. If I let the car sit at idle you can watch the splatters of gas hit the driveway. (i'll take some pictures if anyone wants to see)

What I think I need are new injectors. Well I can get them from mazdatrix for a million dollars or I can try to find some other source. I found some on summits site for like $70 a piece http://store.summitracing.com/partde...t=ACC%2D150148 would these work? If so what would I need to get them to work. If not, anyone know where I could get some new 550cc injectors that are not a rip off?

I know a lot of people will just say get some old ones cleaned, but I want some new ones that I don't have to worry about them leaking again any time soon.

Any suggestion would be appreciated,
thanks

If it runs, and fuel gets that far down the exhaust path... I can't really imagine it being that you are just too rich or what not.. not unless you live up north and its cold as hell up there right now. Any normal temperature and with running temps fuel shouldn't ever still be a liquid at the exhaust tips.

Though I suppose if you were spraying barely less than "too much" and your trailing coil were out... that might be enough to get it down there. But it should take a fair amount of time to get there.

I'd be more willing to bet that its coming from the back, near the tank itself or from one of the lines, I mean are you seeing it in like a little stream coming out of hte exhaust or do you just see streaks behind the car?

I watch it fly out the exhaust at idle in mist like spit, even after a hard drive. I live in Utah, its only 26 degrees out.

Those injectors would be a downgrade for your TII as the stock ones are 550cc and the ones on the website are 500.

Most of the time, the injectors just need to be cleaned, if they're dirty they can easily flood the engine and create pretty shitty performance. Usually what happens is that they lock in the open position and cannot fully close when they're dirty like that. I havent seen anyone on here so far, although I just joined in the summer, with dead injectors, or injectors that actually needed replacing.
Now unless you've been runing an safc and increased the duty cycle of the injector for a long while, that may be a different story.

I would send them off to cruzin for a flow test and cleaning, he charges 60$ approx for all 4. He will email you the flow test results before and after cleaning. If they're fucked, he of course will let you know.

If your injectors are fried, then post a WTB in the for sale section for TII injectors that are of course in good condition. If someone posts, do a search for his/her name in the good guy/bad guy section to see if they are good sellers, and if so, its safe to take his/her word that they are in good condition.
I'll be needing injectors soon, and thats where im gonna get em, have them sent to me and then sent over to cruzin for cleaning.

Finally alot of shitty gas milage situations are related to things that cause enrichment of the AF mixture. THe o2 sensor is one of them. If it can no longer send back current to the cpu, then its fucked, and the car will run rich. I think also with your coolant sensor, if its screwed and reporting that the engine is hot, the cpu will adjust the AF to rich to kind of cool it down and prevent detonation/overheating as a safety thing.

I figured those summit injectors should be good for atleast 300 flywheel HP at an 80% duty cycle.

stock are 550cc injectors don't downgrade. I believe we need larger injectors than **** on engine because of the 13B's BSFC compared to piston engines. Have yours rebuilt or have a spare set rebuilt it would likely cost under 150 dollars for a full set to be purchased and cleaned compared to buying downgrade injectors thats like 50% savings.

BTW I see liquid spit out my RB mufflers on cold days but i'm pretty sure that is just moisture condensing in the mufflers.

That's what i was going to say. Are you sure it isn't water coming out of the mufflers?

i have a mist, too. not sure what it is. i know the injectors aren't new. i should have had them cleaned while the engine was getting rebuilt, but i was that broke. i'm not sure if i'd rather it be gas or water (h20 is a by-product of combustion, after all; my cat has no air going to it and i'm not sure if that would be a factor).

I assume its gas. I don't think water would stain the driveway black.... I thought it was oil, but after 1000 miles the oil level hasn't dropped from full and that is kinda odd.

Water that just went through a "soot" lined pipe system and muffler(s) and/or cat(s) would sure stain a drive way. Atleast IMO
