Gas Pedal Stiffness
I don't know what really stiff means to you, but in case it is something:
1) Check the pedal travel. Make sure that it is not being stopped by anything (like a floormat that was pushed up under it).
2) Check the throttle linkage. Make sure it has free range of travel - it is possible that your throttle plates are sticking closed.
3) If all else fails, examine your throttle cable - if there is gunk in the protective sheath, the cable will bind and grab.

hmmm.... when i step on the pedal, the first part of the press is pretty easy, but when i want to press down more, then i'll have to press harder. is that how you all's feel like? i'll check things out tomorrow thanks for the replies so far =)
in the first like 20% of travel you are only opening the primary throttle plate, so it will be easier to press up til that point, which is where the secondary throttle plates are engaged by the linkage and you will then be opening both sets, which introduces a bit more resistance.... My guess is that is what you are sensing, stop driving barefoot and you will probably not notice it so much

yea i must say, it is very very stiff, i test drove a T2 today and oh gosh is it stiff unlike any other car ive driven. The 1st inch is fine but after that its so stiff i dont have a good sense of how far my foot is, I cant feel the engine in my foot.
Same problem!
It's weird I've becomg pretty confident that it's sticky throttle plates, like if you push it hard a few times it frees up right?
Anyone know how to clean throttle plates without ripping off the throttlebody?
not to hijack the thread or anything...

You don't need to replace anything.
1)Set the TPS
2)Lube up the cable, where it slinks back into the sheath.
3)Clean off the throttle plates if you feel really ambitious.
4)Go for a few wide open runs.
Setting my TPS cured most of the problems. Make sure there aren't any wire clusters/harnesses in the way of the Secondary linkage.
