Cool Gas Pedal Slightly Stuck( SLIGHTLY)

When i start my car it idles funny for the first little while(norm) then after warm up the car revs from 1000- 1500 constently throughtout the whole drive. Its been doing it for a while and i figured it was a ground or something but one day i lifted the gas pedal with my foot and it smoothed off? My guess is the gas pedal is getting stuck. Do i loosen the throttle cable or what? Thanks

fast idler cam/assembly jammed? I'd say check the TB for anything sticking, also, it might be a good idea to clean up the throttle body inside. Disconnect the throttle cable and see if it slides as it should, that will tell you if it is the cable or the TB.

Edit: I read it again, and must ask: when's the last time you adjusted/checked the TPS? Are they like surges? Or is it just an inconsistent idle? If it surges, that is TPS.

they are surges but whats weird about is that when i pull the gas pedal up, it smooths out. Im thinking that something is getting jammed like the cable. Ill go ahead and that that stuff apart and clean it all up... Ill just trace everything out i guess.

the car doesnt stop or shut off at all. When im idling the idle jump from 1000-1500 constently in surges. When i lift the pedal, it smooths out just fine. It seem to me that the gas pedal is getting stuck or the throttle cable is to tight. i just wanna be sure where to look when i take it all apart tommorrow

oh i think your saying that you lift the pedal up with your foot under the pedal. if thats the case you need to loosen up the throttle cable where its attached to the throttle body. tighten it to where theres no slack but its not pulling on the throttle at all. then you need to adjust your TPS.

follow the tps directions.
