gas pedal?

gas pedal?

Well this kind of strange when the car is off the pedal is fine. When I turn on the car the gas pedal gets stuck so my car is stuck at 2000 rpm. What could be causing this?

Bad Cable, bad dashpot, perhaps a bad TPS. How do you know the peddle is fine when the engine is off? Going from normal idle to 2000 RPM take a very small amount of cable movement.

If you have cruise control, unhook the cruise cable and see if that's the problem.

what I mean is that when the car is off I can step on the pedal and it will come all the way up but when the car is running and i let off of the gas it would get stuck, until I pull it back to normal.
