gas mileage

gas mileage

i was wondering if by getting a short ram intake would help my gas mileage . i have only one precat left and two 3.5 outlet stainless mufflers so any suggestions would help me out thanks

"Short ram" is marketing speak for "stupid intake tube that places the filter in a heat soaked area and probably will make less power then the stock airbox".

So, probably not.

I'm sure a lot of the RX7 guys are thinking it, so I'll go ahead and say it: If you're worried about gas mileage, you should probably buy a Prius instead of an RX7.

Prius gets terrible mileage. Real men drive Insights.

That said, you can get reasonable mileage in an RX-7 if the car is in good shape and you know how to drive it. Some good topics are linked in the FAQ under the mileage section.
