hey everyone my rx7 is a 90 N/T and is sucking down the gas even more than usual. I've just put in new spark plugs and and O2 sensor but it's still using a lot of gas. Any ideas what to check.
P.S. I mean a LOT of gas!

 

Join the club. My goddamn 3.5L intrepid guzzles less gas than my 7. I guess that's the price we pay for being unique Don't let your foot get too heavy, and it should be reasonable. The most i ever got on a full tank is about 400KM

 

if u keep it under 3800 ur sencondary injectors wont kick in and u'll see better milage also on the left side by ur air intake check if it's set too far to lean or to rich uther than thatit's not going to get much better inless o2 sencor is bad

Here's what I did mostly for performance but it helps with gas mileage:

- Full 60K miles mazda service, fuel injector cleaning
(plugs, wires, fluids, tuning)
- New TPS

I'm getting 17/21 and 19/24 depending how I drive

 

Don't forget the air cleaner.

Not more than 15K miles on a stock filter plate and you will be down mileage.
