You are going to need to do major upgrades to the engine such as :

Eh.......

1. get a new e shaft( made for a 1 rotor)
2. grind the teeth off of the rear stationary gear
3. Cut a weber in half (along with the manifold)
4. make a custom oil pan
5. drop the voltage down on the fuel pump to six volts
6. install a smaller feed and return lines
7. Go buy a churro machine(to fill the excess engine bay space)
8. take the radiator of your dirtbike(might be a little overkill though)
9. Get a really heavy flywheel(40 pounds or so should do it)
10. Buy mini cooper brakes for the rear to match the 9 inch rims(to help out the gear ratio problem)

And there you have it 10 ridiculous solutions to a ridiculous question.

Why is this turbo too small? The sports compact silvia uses it and it makes about 270rwhp, makes alot of power down low, and that car can run a 12.8 on street tires. Is it just not a good match for our cars? I'm shooting for around 280 hp and wanted to know more about this turbo. I dont need the 400hp that the T04 puts out.

you can get 280 hp off the stock turbo.. if you want more of a punch get a T3/04 almost same spooling of stock turbo and a bit bigger.. get a fuel pump and some injectors so you dont blow it up.. since your asking about getitng a new turbo i would assume youve modded the T2 already? and you know what to do.. if nto try that first before u go worrying about a bigger turbo

gt28s are for two liter and smaller four cylinder motors, not for 8000rpm rotaries

although yes if you use two, they work out good (although two gt30rs would be better i think)

1.3 liter rotaries push more air than 2.0 liter engine like the silvia's. They also need to run the turbo at a lower boost to make power safely. For both these reasons, the gt28 is way too small.
