Exclamation Gabriel rear struts don't have spring seat?

I ordered Gabriel struts from an online store. The two front struts have that disc were the springs sit on, but both the rears don't.

Here is a pic of what I mean:<a href="http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r63/lonetlan/?action=view&current=SANY0251x.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r63/lonetlan/SANY0251x.jpg" border="0" alt="Gabriel strut"></a>

Its one of the rear struts. I read in another thread that I can hammer off the seat off the stock strut. But, it is tac-welded on.

If you know of a way to get one on, it is well appreciated!

i got the same ones. Email or call up monroe and tell them you got a set of their struts and they didnt come with spring seats. Gabriel said they would be backordered and would send me a set when they came in but that was 3 months ago. Monroe overnighted them to me

Its ok, Gabriel don't accept phone calls on the weekend, but when I called them Friday, they said that I would need to order part no. 143063. Which is the spring seats. Monroe people were being very rude on the phone so I just ordered them at Autozone for free. I Just walked in with both rear struts; they took down the part number on the struts and just ordered me ones that are supposed to have the seats on them! If Autozone doesn't take these struts, stay confident and tell them they need to be exchanged with the right ones. 2 rear Gabriel struts cost a couple cents under $100, the spring seats from Gabriel cost about $80, I could get the struts tomorrow or the seats next week. I chose the struts. Thanks for helping out:jfpimp97elkland, and duo2999.

The Gabriel struts from Autozone are just like the picture, no spring seat. No biggie though, if you paid about $101 at Autozone for two rear struts, get your money back and go to advanced auto and get Monroes! I did call up Monroe earlier today, and was yelling in my cell phone, and trying not to laugh, I was so loud that my neighbors thought I hurt myself. So, while on the phone telling Monroe my info, an ambulance, and a police car rolled up, It was sort of funny because they were trying to talk to me and I held up my finger to finish my call, and they didn't say anything until I hung up(i lol'd in their face)! I was surprised I didn't get some sort of ticket. Anyways, I am getting Monroes from advanced auto and from where ever else they have them! Gabriel do not accept calls or emails on the weekends, Monroe does.
I'm going to take one pair of my two pairs of struts back to advanced and get my money back
Lesson learned: Gabriel struts DO NOT come with a spring seat! Neither of them, its just the strut! Monroe comes with it, and if Monroe don't have it, call and just sound really angry and don't take no, or "you'll have to order it" for an answer.
