fuzzy logic on hks evc prevent boost spike?
hey i have a stock turbo on my 88 tII and im afraid of boost spiking when i get my full rb exhaust and my tid..i do have a fcd..and a walbro rite now..it will have 720 secondaries and probably a safc...i dont want to take my turbo apart to port the wastegate because it is such a hassle...does ne1 have any experience with the hks evc electronic boost controller.. i noticed it has fuzzy logic..but i dont really understand how it works..or if it will really prevent boost spiking on my stock wastegate without me porting it..ne opinions? thanks guys

Nothing can stop boost creep except porting the wastegate. The fuzzyness of the EVC is only to learn where your car usually comes on to boost and to hold the wastegate closed as long as possible to increase boost response.
When you do all of those mods you simply have too much exhaust flowing through the turbo for the wastegate to handle. It's like filling up a funnel too fast. The faster you pour eventually it will spill over the top unless you open up the hole more.

a fuzzy logic boost controller (like profect A) won't even let you use it if you have any creep. it'll just error and you won't be able to set it. so it's gargabe.
nothing will prevent creep bysides making the wastegate bigger, or limiting air in and out (smaller intake / exhuast)

Note there's a big difference between boost spike and boost creep. Fuzzy logic boost controllers can help with spikes but won't do anything for creep. As mentioned, boost creep will send the fuzzy logic into a tailspin anyway. Boost creep is caused by insufficient flow through the wastegate and the only thing that'll fix it is increasing wastegate flow.
