funky clutch
im driving down the road all normal like and put the clutch in to shift and to my suprise, the clutch is stiff as hell. i checked the fluid and its right at the full line and i tried pumping the pedal anyway with no success. its stiff until about 3/4 of the way down then it goes pretty easy. anyone ever experience this before or know what it is?

I experienced different clutch feelings before. Never really a bad thing unless you have grinding problems, noise when you push in the clutch, pedal doesn't come back up, or something of the nature. If your not encountering any of these problems I probably wouldn't worry about it. If it is very hard to push your pedal like it's giving you a workout, then maybe, MAYBE, your throwout bearing is hanging up on your tranny shaft. But I dought that. I can't imagine your pressure plate springs getting more sring on it. I can only suggest that you bleed the system and make sure your pedal is adjusted properly.

what type of clutch do you have installed? If it's after market then you may have botched something during install. If it's stock you may need to rebuild some cylinders... If you can get a friend to push the pedal while you look at the slave and see if it moves easily.

What's the fluid look like? I recently rebuilt my entire hydrolic system for the clutch because sediment in the system turned the fluid from clear like water to opac and yellow. If you still have a rubber line on there inspect it while you're looking at the cylinders. MazdaTrix has some nice rebuild kits if you have to go that route.
While thinking about this I have also thought that perhaps the piston on the slave is misaligned but that might not be the problem considering there is a divit to hold the piston head on the fork. But if it is out of that divit it might be trying to push against the bell housing instead of the fork causing you to exert extra pressure to get the clutch to engage. Just a thought and probably has no basis in reality, but it's an easy check.
