Funk Idle
Sorry for the long post
I have removed several things, including the BAC, dashpot, the two throttle plates in front of teh other two throttle plates and solenoid, air pump, AC, no PS to begin with, sub zero starting resovoir, and plugged a lot of vaccum leaks. Now my idle does this funky thing.... I have an idle adjustment screw in it, so I can adjust teh idle by hand with a screwdriver.
When I first start it, it idles high, like around 2500ish regardless if its warm or not, about 30 seconds later it will drop down to about 1400, where I have it set now, because it wants ot die if I let it any lower. I finally drove the car around my yard and when I am completely off the throttle after driving it the RPMs stay at 3000 and dont drop down untl I drive it again.
Sometimes, when driving the idle would kick up and it would take off without me touching the pedal.
I double checked all the linkage and when I am off the throttle, it is fully shut.
What could be making my idle do these funk *** things.
Thanks
David
