Question fun with needle bearings

well, because my e-shaft nut likes to fly out i have determined that my needle bearing has fallen out of place. my question is is it the the one in the front of the bearing plate that is against the thrust washer, or is it the one behind the bearing plate (the side with the spacer), or do both fall out?. im sure it(they?) fell out of place because i have no endplay at all.

It's typically the one in the rear behind the big plate bolted onto the front stat gear.

figures, so if if take that plate off will the stat gear come with it or will anything else come out that is vital? or it just comes off and its kinda like hanging out there?

Stat gear is tight fitted to the front iron, so it won't come out unless you deliberately do so.
You should be able to just unbolt the 6 bolts that hold the big plate and stat gear in place, remove the plate, and the front stat gear should stay in place.
