Which full Turbo Back are you guys running?

So my question is simple. Which turbo back are you guys running? I'm currently looking for a new set up, but I don't know which one's to go with.

I was taking a look at the Corksport Turbo Back, and was considering it. Not too bad for the price. But Seemed a little to loud for my taste, although the tone was nice and deep.

Anyone have any suggestions with sound clips? Anything on HKS or Greddy?

I was considering a racing beat set up. Nice quiet tone to it. Nothing too loud. Although, I was really in the market for a 3 inch exhaust. But would you happen to have a link to a sound clip? All I've really heard were the NA's.

Racing Beat is full 3 inch turbo back. It's the REV-TII exhaust.

I know that the Rev-TII system is a full 3 inch.

I was referring to the RB DP, RB cat replacement, Apexi cat back combo, that FBDrifter was suggesting. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that.

I have the racing beat turbo back and i absolutely love it. I also did not want something too loud, and this one is just perfect! I have a video, but i doubt the sound quality is very good on my little digital camera.

how much more power would the apexi Dual N1 with the RB downpipe and cat replacement give than the REV?

The RB Rev-II would provide more power, especially in the low end as it is 3" turbo back. The RB downpipe and presilencer that mate to a catback like the dual N1 are 2.5".

I have used

-2.5" RB downpipe and presilencer to 3.5" JIC Spec 90 single cat back (no low end power, OK top end power, too loud)

-Rev II full RB 3" turbo back (some low end power good top end power, very quiet)

-JIC Magic Spec 90 3.5" singe turbo back (great low end and top end power, way way way too loud)

-And now JIC spec 90 3.5" front pipe to RB Rev II 3" "Y" pipe and rear mufflers (great low end power, very good top end power, aggressive sound)

The RB Rev II downpipe/presilencer is restrictive and hurt low end power and using just the RB Rev II rear mufflers keeps it quiet enough for me.

We need someone to make an exhaust for us that splits into two 3" pipes right off the turbo like the old Knighsports exhaust for great flow and noise control.

i've got the RB 3inch on my 87 hard top and the rev 2 on my 91 turbo vert. I love this exhaust and tell everyone that it is probably the best FIRST mod you can make.

Which is a shame, because the original version was 80mm (3.15").

I've got a modified Corksport downpipe for my T04S (has a v-band flange) going right to a 3" RB catback, the older style. no presilencer or cat.

First Revision Racing Beat Exhaust

It's quiet, especially at low revs. It gets louder as the rpms climb (obviously). I don't hear much of the exhaust though, just a whole lot of turbo spooling.

Not according to RB...

"The REV TII High Performance Exhaust system incorporates a 3-inch OD down pipe from the turbo outlet that mates to a presilencer section. From the head of the Y-pipe two 2.375-inch OD (60mm) pipes extend to the ceramic wool-packed 304-stainless steel rear main mufflers."

fcdrifter13, would you happen to have a sound/video clip of the corksport set up? It is the Corksport turbo back correct? Your sig threw me off.

The Rev II catback splits to two 2.3inch mufflers correct?

What I would love is a 4 inch DP\MP; to a REV like catback that starts at 4inch, and splits to two 3inch REV like mufflers!

REV II splits into two ~2.362" (60mm) pipes.

I prefer the idea of splitting into two 3" downpipes right off the turbo for a couple of reasons.

It provides better clearance issues with the required bends and the presilencers outside diameter will also be smaller for ground clearance as well. There would be twice as many presilencers to really help keep it quiet.

Weight is the only disadvantage I could see, but if it is that important to your build you will be using a large single exhaust anyways.

I really liked the old discontinued Knightsports turbo back that split into duals right after the turbo and had 4 presilencers and 2 mufflers.

Ya its the turbo back setup, I may be able to get a vid later today sometime. The only and I mean only problem I have had out of the system is that it hung a little to far to the right and hit my rear bumper, but other than that its perfect. Also when I say it weighs less than the RB I mean by alot, the RB y pipe felt like it weighed more then the cat back part of the corksport.

Also I'll change my sig so its not confusing anymore.
