SSAC single exit turbo back.

Sounds and looks good, but is loud as hell. But hey - for $274 shipped, I'm not complaining.

yup yup. SS AutoChrome is cheap as hell. Sounds good but gets old fast.

Weight is the only disadvantage I could see, but if it is that important to your build you will be using a large single exhaust anyways.

I really liked the old discontinued Knightsports turbo back that split into duals right after the turbo and had 4 presilencers and 2 mufflers.

I just can't picture it; two 3inch full exhaust!

Who's up for a custom one?

Use a Borla muffler as a pre silencer!

Say no to cops pulling you over for loud exhaust

on a turbo? Wouldn't the TII benefit from a divorced wastegate (if using a stock or hybrid unit) than splitting the DP into (2) 3" pipes? I can't picture it. Please post pics of the Knightsports unit so I can get a visual.

i dont have any clips, but the sound is pretty mild, even at WOT. the tone is great, has an FD tone to it for some reason.

with a silencer equipped in the muffler, the sound level is virtually stock.

It's not a case of one or the other, they're not mutually exclusive. It would benefit from both, but this example is just a bolt-on exhaust, not turbo mods.

DUde. Its only a pieace of pipe.

I got the ssautochrome(xpower3"" single exit cheapness,for 274$ SHIPPED.

comes mandrel bent, All the gaskets, including turbo/dp, and botl and nuts.

It does have a resonator. And is dirct bolt on fc stock exhaust hangers.

I myself would never buy anything from ssautochrome. I know very well about their crappy turbos, manifold,wg's.

But, i figured. Its not a moving, mechanical piece of engineering. It doesnt carry any weight or recieves major stress is any manner. SO i bought it. best 270 bucks i ever spent on my car. =D

I use racing beat, it has earned a reputation of having great quality, and so far it holds true too me. SSAutochrome and other knockoff exhausts should not be put on a car, imo.

Corksport sounds a little to loud, plus I don't like the look of the exit that isn't used. If you have to go single, cover that **** up yo!

The greddy PE is what I was kinda wanting, it is great sounding and great looking and i dont think its very loud. The problem is finding one lol.

Keep in mind my car has a test pipe instead of a cat and does not have the silencers installed. I plan on using a different than stock rear bumper so I am not going to mess with it.

Which is a shame, because the original version was 80mm (3.15").
Yeah, just measured my REV II downpipe and it is only 3" now as you said.

No issues on mine, except for the loud note from the cheap muffler

I have the SSautochrome dual exhaust and I don't have any problems with it. Well besides one side likes to hang a little lower than the other, but a different donut fixed that.

I have a modified 80mm Corksport downpipe, 80mm Corksport midpipe. The SSautochrome catback (smaller mufflers) wich happens to have an 80mm inlet also. Going on three years with the catback.

Those old racing beat exhausts built by RS*R were heay gauge mild steel (at least the 3" portions of the exhaust) ,3mm wall thickness or roughly 1/8". The new exhausts are 16gauge .065" wall thickness.Unless I'm missing something or haven't done the math correctly, The inner diameter between the two is just a hair over 1mm in favour of the 80mm tubing. That's like in between 1/32 and 1/16" inside diameter. I think I'd rather the stainless exhaust then the heavy pig mild steel exhaust. The nice thing though about the old exhaust is that the heavy wall downpipe did absorb the ringing you get from the thin wall tube.
