JUst like it says.. I will start using slicks in about 2 months and i do not have a oil baffle plate. The tires are on their way. But I was thinking twice about putting them on before a oil baffle.

Oil baffle plate becomes useful for hard cornering, too.

if you can keep your oil at the full level all the time it shouldn't be an issue, I have noticed that when the oil sloshes to the driver side it tends to end up into the catch can, thus having a hard time keeping the oil topped up. I've heard of guys adding a vent to the passenger side and reduces a lot of oil loss. I'll be trying it this year.

so the choice comes down to oil baffle or extra vent?

Part of the point of the baffle plate is to reduce the amount of bubbly oil the pickup tries to draw.

buy a stud kit, too. when you add the plate and the extra gasket you can barely grab thread with the stock bolts.

Skip the gaskets and just use grey silicone and follow the directions.

I autocrossed my car a few time on Hoosiers A6s before I got my new oil pan with a baffle plate (pineapple racing) and it seemed to work find.

I had Hoosier A6s 245/40/17 F - 275/40/17 R

I would just keep your oil level full....

But if you're extra picky... A baffle really isn't very expensive. It's a pain in the butt to install though. There are a lot of bolts
