new to the game or rotarys. i have a 87 N/A next weekend i will be putting a OBX B9 muffler on with no cats and 2.5 pipes all the way back. im not sure if i will do dual or single yet.
any adive on how this will sound . i might add a presilencer to quiete it down a bit. but prob not.
anyways. does anyone have a pic of how the modification looks where to tap the hose by the air pump and so on really good instruction.
i just want to make sure i dont hit any bumbs around the because this is my daily driven vehicle.
also, with feeing up the exhaust will the car run cooler ?

in no one can help with this,
i too read about tying them open. someon mentioned zip ties.
wont the zip ties melt? and how would i zip tie them open i assum push the rod all the way in and tie them around them like that keep them pushed in.
also , the one port close to the passeg. side back of block, you can push on it and it goess freely in spayed some WD40 on it moves loosly now the one in the front i assume perhpas close to the air pump, sprayed some 40 on it and moved it around then weeks later it was hard to move in again. spayed some again last week and moved it in and out. any suggetions on what to do or should they be like that ? had to use some plyers to move the rod in and out at first.
let me know on this and the above post.
thanks andy

Ok about where to put the connection of the 5th and 6th ports. It goes in between the acv and the acv muffler.Use a vacuum fitting, one side should be 1/8 and the other is 1/4.Drill a 1/8 hole in the hose and put the 1/4 side of the coupling in the 1/8 so its a snug fit.You can buy the fitting at any autoparts store and they are about 2 bucks or so.Your ports will be opening around 3,000 rpm instead of the prior 3,800.

I tried posting the same pic earlier ,but I wouldn't let me.You tap where the blue vacuum hose is going to.Then the other side gets connected to the actuator nipple. The mod is pretty good.I use it because I have true duals and I don't have enough back pressure to open them.To clean take both actuators out.Remove the two bolts to each actuator and free the pin that holds the actuator rods.Use PB blaster on the actuators and work them in and out with a pair of pliers until they can be pushed down with your fingers.
